A useful comparison starts with evidence.
Private School helps families compare private and international schools across cities in the GCC, Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania. We publish original factual summaries with source links and review dates. We are an independent directory, not a school inspector, accreditor or admissions service. The catalogue is a selection, not a complete list of every school in each destination.
Where our information comes from
Profiles use school-owned websites and published fee schedules. We link to the pages used for each profile and its programme claims. A review date records when we checked a source; it is not an endorsement of a school or a promise that information cannot change.
We write original summaries rather than importing a competitor’s directory, descriptions or reviews. School logos come from each school’s official website and identify the listing; their use does not imply endorsement. Initials provide a fallback when a logo is unavailable. Selected profiles also show licensed campus photographs with visible source and licence credits, the exact campus and historical photo year. These photographs do not establish the campus’s current condition or imply endorsement. The homepage illustration depicts a fictional school.
Corrections and additions require a primary source and editorial review. A new page-edit date does not refresh the source-review dates shown on a profile.
What “best match” means
Every chosen filter must match the facts we have. Within a selected programme interest, schools with more documented entries for that interest appear first; ties use school name. With no interest selected, the catalogue order is retained. This is a practical discovery order, not an academic ranking. More documentation does not establish better teaching.
Arts, science, languages and sports filters identify published provision. We don’t award “best in arts” or “best in sciences” titles without a defensible, comparable evidence base. We do not infer exam outcomes, inspection ratings, accreditation or learning support from a school’s facilities.
Missing facts stay visible
“Not verified” means we don’t have a cited source for that field. It does not mean a school lacks the service. Age filters exclude unknown ranges; budget filters exclude unknown prices and other currencies. A curriculum label can describe one pathway within a school, rather than every year group. Curriculum filters match on-campus pathways for the selected age or stage. An online senior route is disclosed on the profile and excluded from these results. Unverified pathway ages are excluded when an age is selected. Always confirm the offer for your child’s phase.
Programme age searches require a verified age range for that programme; phase searches require documented phase access. A school’s overall ages do not establish programme eligibility. Unverified access stays visible in general discovery, but is excluded from a specific age or phase match. You can use a documented phase to find provision whose eligibility ages still need confirmation.
Fees need context
Tuition ranges show published annual bands for the named academic year. They may exclude deposits, registration, transport, examinations or other costs. Our budget filter uses the highest published band in the selected budget currency. You can display fees in USD, EUR or GBP using approximate, dated exchange rates; published local fees remain available. Display conversion does not change budget filtering or imply an affordability recommendation.
Payment and independence
Parents can search, save and compare free of charge. Schools may pay for proposed profile review, enquiry collection and reporting services, subject to operator and service setup being confirmed before any billing invitation. The proposed scope is one named campus. Payment is never an input to organic search order. A listing or partner subscription is not an endorsement, accreditation or quality award, and does not guarantee visits, enquiries or admissions.
Enquiries and admissions
Use the school’s official admissions link to confirm places, placement and application steps. Where a parent enquiry form is available for an approved active partner, a successful submission is received by the directory team for review. It is not automatically emailed or already delivered to the school. Enquiries may be shared with the named school using the consent provided. Adult parents and guardians should not send child identity documents or sensitive information through the directory.
Reviews and corrections
Factual changes are checked against school-owned publications. Submit a listing or correction request using a school-owned source. Parents should confirm important facts directly with admissions before making a decision.
